The bubble has burst!

How long did we expect this fake economy to last anyway?

Some of you may remember before this freaky "boom" how hard it was to approach a bank manager. To get a bank loan, you had to prove you didn't need it cause you already had enough assets to meet the value of the loan you needed. Bank managers playing God. If you don't, then lucky you cause you won't feel as hard done by as those who were in the market before the BIG LIE!
Suddenly banks are begging us to take mortgages and loans without worrying about how or what means you have to pay it back. (A bit suspicious right?) Bombarded with bank letters offering loans and low cost repayments, you decide on how much and how long you will take to pay it back. A lot of people fell in the trap, what a shame they didn't meet the bank managers before we all went spacers. So are the banks crying now? - Sod them! They taught many of us a great lesson on time before we trusted them and got trapped in their silly bubble which has just burst with a big bang along with all their " construction contracts". Too many eggs in one basket bankers. But I'm sure you have lots of assets and properties and guarantees to keep yas goin'!

Help! It's Spring again.

For somebody who apparentely doesn't suffer hay fever, I'd love to know why I, as a male, suffer morning sickness in April and May every year. I feel so sorry for those who do but I don't get away without suffering certain alterations of mood, emotional instabilty and colds. Sleep is another aspect of Spring that puzzles me. Can't get any or can't get enough. Roll on Summer and we'll all boil to death!

Chicken curry and rice. Recipe.

Chicken curry and rice.
Ingredients: 1 red pepper, 1 green pepper, 1 large onion. 2 pieces of garlic. 1 can of tomato pure 2 potatoes. 1 carrot, 1 apple 2 slices of pineapple, Breast of chicken, rice, salt, pepper - 1 cup of cooking cream, 1/2 cup of olive oil, curry powder and curry sauce(if you have it)
1. keeping aside the chicken breast cut in cubes, the pineapple the cooking cream, and the curry, chop or grate the rest into small pieces and place in a pot with a small glass of olive oil and stir fry slowly moving it with a wooden spoon. Add some pieces of chicken breast chopped very finely and leave all the ingredients to cook slowly. After a few minutes, when it starts to cook, add a glass of water but not much. After about half an hour of simmering all the ingredients should look saucy so then you add pineapple and curry sauce and curry powder and simmer for another 10 minutes. Add the cream in the last 2 minutes of simmering. If it looks too chunky you can liquidise it after.
2. Stir fry the chicken breast in a drop of oil on a seperate pan and add a pinch of curry powder. When the chicken is done, thow it into the pot with the other ingredients. ( test it for salting)
3, Serve with boiled white rice and Bon Appetite!!

Ribera de Cabanes. Natural Park and beach

This is an unspoilt beautiful beach where naturalists can relax away from the noise of your average Mediterranean commercial beach. I took these photos on a Monday afternoon on the first week of July with temperatures around 35ºC - I had the whole beach to myself!!
